" Removing old Winegard Sensar Wing antenna was easy, unscrew antenna cable and remove 2 securing pins in elevator mechanism. Inside old antenna body I found electronics corroded after 15 years out in the weather; it no longer worked. Winegard Sensar HV kit model CC-25HV retrofit kit fitted easily to elevator gear mechanism and it worked. I found the elevator gear housing's 2 guide ears to store the antenna between when down no longer work well. The HV kit only uses a top antenna mounting square tube arm -there is no underneath tube to go between the elevator guide ears. I cut off 150mm from scrapped Sensar antenna arm and initially glued (later screwed) it under the HV top arm between elevator housing guide ears. This supported and guided the antenna into its down position and also provided some lateral support when antenna was raised as the HV kit single arm tends to wobble about between the sides of the elevator gear housing.
